This way, you will not need to change the slats if you make a mistake.
Cross bar H (one of the cross bars that make up the long side of the top bunk, has five big holes on one side and five large holes and two smaller holes on the other. You are told to connect the end supports of the bed with the cross bars in STEP 3. Make sure that you connect the upper cross bar H with the side that has seven holes FACING DOWN. If you do not do it this way, you will be unable to connect the ladder.

Make sure the screw holes line up to avoid having to unscrew components that you previously assembled. It is helpful to lay out the pieces before inserting any bolts to avoid mistakes. It is difficult to snap all the plastic pieces together for the support rods with your fingers so use the handle of as screw driver or a rubber mallet to pop them in. Assembly takes about 2-3 hours.
